Daerah studi seperti daerah tropis lainnya di Indonesia mempunyai suhu rata-rata tahunan > 18 C. Berdasarkan data yang berhasil dihimpun pada Stasiun Meteorologi M. Salahuddin Bima pada bulan Januari – September 2010 seperti yang terlihat pada tabel 3.1 diketahui bahwa suhu rata-rata bulanan yaitu 26,83 C. Suhu rata-rata bulanan tertinggi terjadi pada Bulan Maret (28,5C) dan rata-rata bulanan terendah terjadi pada Bulan Agustus (24,9C).
