Lokasi rencana Pembangunan PLTM Pagerpelah terletak antara Desa Pagerpelah dan Desa Selatri, Kecamatan Karangkobar, Kabupaten Banjarnegara, Propinsi Jawa Tengah. Lokasi pekerjaan berjarak ± 23 km dari kota Banjarnegara ke arah utara melalui Kecamatan Banjarmangu menuju Desa Pagerpelah Kecamatan Karangkobar. Sumber air PLTM Pagerpelah berasal dari sungai Urang, lokasi rencana proyek secara administrasi dapat dilihat pada Gambar I.3. dan Gambar I.4.
